Check-in & Check-out
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2:00pm, check-out is 10:00am. Check-in is in person — you’ll meet our on-site managers to collect your key.
Can I check in early or check out late?
We’re flexible from 12:00pm for early check-in where availability allows. Just let us know your expected arrival when you book, or call ahead if your plans change.
Is there a minimum stay?
Online bookings require a 2-night minimum. Booking directly with us, shorter stays may be available depending on the season — just ask.
Cancellations & Bookings
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancel 8 or more days before arrival and your deposit is forfeited. Cancel within 7 days of arrival and the full amount is forfeited. If you’re cancelling due to genuine hardship or a medical emergency, get in touch directly — we’ll do what we can.
Do you require a bond or security deposit?
No, we don’t collect a bond or security deposit.
In Your Apartment
Are linen and towels included?
Bath towels, linen, and bedding are all included. Beach towels aren’t supplied, so bring your own for the sand.
Will my apartment be cleaned during my stay?
For stays of 7 nights or longer, we’ll service your apartment with fresh linen and a bathroom clean.
Is there a lift?
Yes — Oceanside Resort has a lift, so all apartments are accessible without needing to manage stairs.
Do you provide cots or high chairs?
We don’t currently supply cots or high chairs — worth planning ahead if you’re travelling with young children.
Policies
Are pets allowed?
Oceanside Resort is not pet-friendly, with the exception of service animals with appropriate documentation.
Is smoking allowed on the property?
Smoking isn’t permitted anywhere on the property, including balconies.
Is EV charging available?
EV charging isn’t available on-site.
Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Yes — we’re happy to store your luggage either side of your stay, so an early arrival or late departure doesn’t leave you stuck.
Food & Shops Nearby
Where’s the nearest supermarket?
IGA Tugun is the closest option, about a 25-minute walk from the resort (or a short bus ride if you’d rather not walk with groceries).
Where’s the nearest pharmacy?
Chem Mart Tugun is closest, about a 25-minute walk — note it’s business hours only, so plan ahead if you need something after hours.
How far are Tugun, Currumbin, and Coolangatta from the resort?
All three are an easy reach — Tugun is closest at around 5 minutes’ drive, Currumbin about 7 minutes, and Kirra/Coolangatta around 10 minutes. All three are also accessible by the bus stop directly out front if you don’t have a car.
Local Buses
Is there public transport near the resort?
Yes — there’s a great bus service directly out the front of the resort. Along Golden Four Drive you can generally expect a bus every 10–15 minutes for much of the day.
Does it run at night?
Late-night coverage is good, but services do thin out overnight — don’t assume a bus every 10–15 minutes right through the night. Check the Translink Journey Planner for exact times if you’re travelling late.
Is there a bus that goes to the airport?
Yes — bus 760 runs from Gold Coast Airport and passes right by the resort, making it an easy option if you’re flying in or out without a car.
Walking & Cycling
Where can I walk to from the resort?
The resort sits right on the Oceanway, a flat, scenic beachfront path, so plenty is walkable if you’re not in a rush:
- Tugun Beach, Surf Club, IGA, Restaurants, BWS — around 25 minutes
- North Kirra Beach 20 minutes, Kirra Beach 35 minutes, and Kirra Hill Lookout 50 minutes
- John Flynn Private Hospital — around 37 minutes
- Currumbin — around 35 minutes
- Coolangatta Beach, Surf Club and Woolworths — around 50 minutes
All of these are also reachable by the bus stop directly out front if you’d rather not walk the whole way.
Is it good for cycling too?
Yes — the same Oceanway path is popular for cycling if you’d rather ride than walk, cutting those times down significantly. Hiring bikes locally is a popular way to get around without needing a car.

Perfect Beach Side Apartment
We had an amazing few days stay here, the views are absolutely incredible and the apartment is exactly what you need for a beach side stay. The location is walking distance to everything as it’s right on the walking/biking path, we stayed and did not need a car for anything. You can also walk right onto the beach from the back door. Would highly recommend hiring bikes! Our check in was easy and we were even allowed to have a late check out to fit with our late afternoon flight out, everything once arriving was a breeze.
